imFlattrd.com is up for sale

It’s true. I’m putting this project up for sale.

It was a very hard decision but I don’t have the time to keep on developing the system and add new features. I really believe in the concept and hope that someone wants to keep the spirit going and take it to the next level.

For those of you not familiar with Flattr or imFlattrd, please read this post.

The site was built with PHP and uses a MySQL database to save all user data.

I’ve created a demo account if you want to test the system without signing for a real account.

Log on with the following credentials:
E-mail: demo
Password: demo

Unique visitors: ~2,500 since June 11th
Registered users: 221
Revenue: None. No ads on the site, yet.
Backlinks: 3,155 (Yahoo)
Alexa rank: 868,569

Asking price: €860 / $1,100

The traffic and user count may be low, but the site has already got some good attention and a lot of people tells me they love the idea.

The sale will be in form of an auction starting when I receive the first bid matching the asking price. The auction will last for a week from that first bid. I also posted this sale on a swedish webmaster board and I’ll inform every bidder of the current price throughout the auction.

  • I cannot afford it currently but I would be quite happy to take over development and all related responsibilities.
    I could about 100 $USD surely we could grow this.I have resources and s few interested friends/volunteers.

    I'm glad you're willing to take over the project but at this time I don't think I'm ready to let it go for $100.
